History of the Council’s creation
The Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine was officially established in March 2016.
The Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine is an association of researchers, postgraduate students, PhDs under the age of 35 and Doctors of Sciences under the age of 40 who are actively engaged in research.
The Council aims to promote the professional development of young scientists, accumulation of research experience, ensuring their active participation in research, creative growth, maximum use of scientific potential, protection of the rights and interests of young scientists of the Institute.
Main tasks of the Council
– Promoting interaction between the Directorate, the Academic Council and young scientists of the Institute;
– Preparation of proposals for attracting young scientists to work in research activities, stimulating their professional activities, promoting their professional development, realization of creative and professional activity;
– advisory support of young scientists in carrying out scientific activities, cooperation with foreign partners and customers of scientific products;
– assistance in attracting young scientists to participate in competitions of scientific works, formation of teams of young scientists for the implementation of promising scientific projects;
– support for young scientists in conducting scientific, scientific, organizational and educational activities;
– promoting the development and improvement of the scientific sphere of Ukraine and its integration into the global and European research space.
Goals and objectives of the Council
– internal networking with master classes on technical and information support of scientific activities, methodological seminars (mutual assistance in the development of empirical research), workshops on applied psychological topics (life success, critical thinking, time management, overcoming procrastination, etc.)
– international projects with faculty exchange for young employees and training courses for graduate students.
– English Speaking Club with free discussion of scientific plans and achievements in English.
– organization and holding of English-language scientific seminars “OpenUp!” to present their own scientific achievements in English as an international language of science.
– Presentation of scientific achievements in the media – comments and interviews on radio, television, and in the press.
– Online public relations (Facebook community, blogs, personal websites on psychological topics).
